Eco-Warriors Face Dangers In The Wild To Protect T..

Compared to green (sea) turtles that nest between 5 and 12 times a year, from April to October, the river terrapins have a very short nesting season. They nest only once a year, in a season that lasts between 2.5 to 6 weeks.
And unlike green turtles that lay an average of 100 eggs each time, the river terrapins lay between 25 and 35 eggs each time. So we don’t have much time to wait/lose, because this is the only period our Terrapin Guardians and rangers are able to secure terrapin eggs for conservation.
Please help us help the terrapins.
Our terrapin adoptions are priced at RM35 each, paid only once. For every contribution, RM5 goes to the egg, and RM30 goes to the microchip which will be inserted into the terrapin for identification.

TERRAPIN conservation in the wilderness along Sungai Kemaman is not for the faint-hearted due to the dangers associated with sleeping in campsites that are home to mosquitoes, snakes, wild boars and monkeys.
