Our fourth and final #AskaMarineBiologist guest is Dr. Pelf from Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia.

Dr. Pelf is a freshwater turtle researcher and conservationist. She co-founded Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia (TCS) in 2011; leads a community-based terrapin conservation project; conducts Turtle Camps with students and was recently awarded the Commonwealth Points of Light from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for her turtle conservation efforts.

Turtle Conservation Society

The Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia was established in October 2011. The aim of the society is to bring about the recovery of depleted wild populations of turtles, with particular reference to freshwater turtles, in Malaysia through partnerships with like-minded organizations, individuals and local communities as well as through its own programs.
