Mr Huan, the scientist who co-developed RetroMAD1, the wonder oral antiviral drug, would like to introduce RetroMAD1 to Penang vets. Recently, there had been an outbreak of Canine Parvo Virus amongst dogs in Johore that got vets pretty worried. I would like to inform you that we supplied test-batches of RetroMAD1 to 2 vets – Dr Mohan 0197758723 and Dr Vasavan 0197267076 for independent trials.
We are pleased to report that both Vets were impressed with the drug’s performance as 6 out of 7 cases resolved in Batu Pahat (Dr Mohan) and 13 out of 19 cases resolved in Kluang (Dr Vasavan). This brings the number of CPV2 cases we’ve tested to 34 with an overall 79% success rate till date. The earlier cases were Dr Tan’s cases.
We also now have preliminary data showing RetroMAD1 is also active for Feline CaliciVirus and Canine ParvoVirus with success in 2 out of 2 cases for each of these viruses.
We’re now looking for Vets in Penang who may be keen on joining our Multi-center trials that we need to show DVS in order to get their approval for drug licensing subsequently.
