Due to lack of manpower and resources, ISPCA shelter is in fact, facing quite a number of problems which are slowly improving by our board of committees. Most of the stray dogs in shelter are old and ill, some of these dogs are fierce as well due to lack of human interaction before they enter shelter. Hence, workers are facing problem to bathe and clean them. What our workers can do is to apply flea medication on them if flea were found on them.
One of the problems faced is that ISPCA Shelter are now having too many strays and we are not able to accept more stray animals, due to lack of space and also time to handle them. However, we still have cases where public abandoned their dogs in front of our shelter.
Therefore, we, ISPCA sincerely hope that more people can involve themselves as ISPCA volunteers to help out. We also hope and plan to set up a veterinary clinic for the strays, veterinarians who are interested to be part of it are utmost welcomed to inquire for the details.
