In recent years, ISPCA have been facing difficulties in entering our own shelter territory! The reason being is that our entrance has been closed down by a company group in recent years and in order to enter to our shelter, ISPCA volunteers & workers have to go through the company group's entrance where in some cases, we were not allowed to enter with no solid reasons given.
Therefore, to solve this problem, ISPCA has spent a long time applying the Right of Way (ROW) from the Department of Land (Jabatan Tanah). Finally our application has been approved and the construction of this new pathway is expected to start next week.
However, during these application procedures, we also found out that the licence for shelter's land is only until year 2020 (about 3 years left). The earlier mentioned group of company together with another NGO have already applied from relevant authority for shelter's land. ISPCA might face problem of not being able to renew the licence. Therefore by considering this worst consequence, at the moment, ISPCA would not accept anymore abandoned or stray animals.
**For exceptional cases, ISPCA can temporarily help to keep the animals but only for 3 months. We will try to rehome them within the period. If no one adopts them after 3 months, ISPCA will neuter and release them back to original location**.(Terms and conditions applied)
Thus, we hope that the public can understand our current situation and we will keep on updating on this matter. Thank you
