【Ipoh's First Ever Microchip Scanner Controlling Birth Rate of Strays】
【怡保首用扫描仪器与晶片 遏止流浪狗繁衍】
In order to control number of stray dogs in town, town council used to catch and shot stray dogs, but this method has been disagreed by animal lovers' associations. In order to resolve this problem in a friendly way, Ipoh Town Council and local animal lover society started a project, and became the first state government in Malaysia to use scanner and microchips to control the number of stray dogs.
为了控制流浪狗的数量，市政厅官员都是用猎枪来追捕流浪狗，但这样的举动引起了不少爱护动物人士以及团体的不满。为了以友善的方式解决这个问题，怡保市政厅与当地的爱护动物组织配合实行一项措施，成为了全国第一个使用扫描仪器和晶片，来控制流浪狗数量的地方政府。
