A Snippet of Doggie Adoption Drive!

“太多了啦！不知道怎样选！”

“每一只都很可爱，不然你帮我选。”

很多到我们园里领养狗狗的人都看得眼花花。

3000多只狗狗，的确让人不知所措。

领养100举办的其中一个目的就是将范围缩小，让行为个性适合家庭生活的狗狗容易得到关注，也让前来领养的人省眼力😎

哎哟~别怪义工太啰嗦~

審核過程中我們總是不厭其煩地提出一大堆問題，#飼養方式、#經濟條件、#家庭狀況，主要以這三點進行詳細的領養面試。有時一個面試都得耗上2個小時。有人會覺得好煩哦，但我們絕不會為了省下麻煩而犧牲毛孩的一生。

其實就像人與人的婚姻，領養人最重要的承諾莫過於「無論未來發生任何事都將一起度過，即便生病、殘廢、年老，也會不離不棄直到永遠」。

如果你没有这般决心，请别一时冲动而领养。

Those who visited our shelter were overwhelmed by the number of doggies here, over 3000 of them !

Adoption Drive 100 is organised with the goal of minimising the circle of choice that doggies with personality and behaviour suit family lifestyle can be noticed, this can also help the adopter to choose a furkid for their loving homes!

Anyway, please don’t be taken aback if we , the volunteers, nag a lot😎

During the process of adoption, we will ask many questions including #how the adopter keeps the furkid, # the financial status of the adopter, and #The family situation of the adopter. Mainly these points are discussed thoroughly during the interview session.

Sometimes an interview could take two hours. Some people will get annoyed but we are not taking the easy way out and sacrifice the lives of the furkids just to save us from troubles and inconveniences.

In fact, most importantly, the adopter has to keep his or her vows just like the sacred marriage vows between husband and wife,

“No matter what happens in the future, we will make it through thick and thin, despite sickness, disabilities, and old age . Never walk out , never abandon till forever.”

If you do not have that determination to stick with the furkid through thick and thin, do not adopt just because of a rash decision.

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
