Browny’s latest update 😢 (eng version below) 很多HOPE的老朋友一定都记得我们的狗狗大使之一Browny，想让大家知道，这跟了我们10多年的老孩子近期老年病不断 … 我们一起为他集气祈福吧 😭

老孩子去年尾生骨刺、站不起来，但坚强的Browny治疗后最后还是正常站起来行走了，爱他的义工时常都会特别带好料给他吃。

最近又发现有尿袋发炎、肾生石的问题，现在住院当中，虽然胃口不佳，但脾气还是一样倔强，吠起来依旧中气十足

看着他从年轻变老，以前意气风发的Browny，现在老了没什么体力，多数时间都是静静躺着休息，大家心里沉重又心疼

为什么毛孩寿命总要那么短 …

HOPE 11岁了，最早期救援的毛孩很多已步入了晚年，出现关节炎、癌症、器官衰竭等老年病。这两年我们花在这些老孩子的医药费和照顾精力真的不少

因为救援不是一时，而是一世

它们一生都找不到家，那园区就是它的家，作为园区的家人，好好陪伴它们走完这一遭，或许是我们唯一能为它们做的事 😢

Many old friends of HOPE must remember one of our dog ambassadors, Browny. Wish to let you know that this senior Chow Chow who has been with us for more than 10 years are having elderly health issues recently, please pray for him 😢

Browny suffered from arthritis and multiple bone spurs in the back of the waist last year end, but the strong boy finally stood up and walked after a period of time of rehab. The volunteers who loved him often brought him special yummy food.

Recently, we found that there is a problem of inflammation of his bladder and he also has kidney stones. He’s hospitalized now. Although he doesn’t have good appetite, but he still can bark so loudly and stubborn as usual.

Seeing him getting old makes everyone feel sad. He was an active handsome boy when he was young, but now he’s old and rest quietly most of the time.

Why the life of the furkid is always so short…?

HOPE turns 11 years old, and many of our early rescued furkids are also in their elderly years now, many elderly health problems occur such as arthritis, cancer, and organ failure.

In the past two years, we have spent a lot of medical expenses and care for these senior furkids. Because rescue is a commitment of lifetime too.

These furkids spent first half of their life wandering on street, and if they couldn’t be adopted, they can only get old in the shelter for the rest of their life… Care and companionship are our promises to them, it’s also the only thing that we can do for them.😢

Homeless & Orphan Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.) is a non-profit organization and no-kill shelter that aims to improve welfare of strays and abandoned pets around Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Our four core missions are rescuing, re-homing, sterilization and increasing public awareness of pet ownership and responsibilities. Currently, we are caring for approximately 700 abandoned animals in our shelter located at Lima Kedai.
