Our Volunteers Were Almost Arrested Eng Version. E..

Our volunteers were almost arrested (eng version 👇) 👏👏👏
Eco Botanic
JLN EKO BOTANI 3/2, TMN EKO BOTANI, JB
_
………………………………….
Many people asked for our help to rescue this dog whose neck was tied by an iron wire that cut badly into its flesh.
When our two female volunteers went to rescue two days ago, they were almost arrested by the police ……… 🤦🏻♀️
They were also scolded badly by the police, but fortunately the dog were rescued by local rescuers the next day, kudos to their efforts! 👏👏👏
It was revealed by netizen that site workers at Eco Botanic are suspected of eating dogs. The iron wire that severely cut the dog’s neck was believed to be used to strangle her to death.
Yesterday the local rescuer found another dog with the same injury! 😡😡😡😡 We have helped to contact Eco Botanic and hope that the management will thoroughly investigate this matter.
_
(The following is the process of us almost being arrested, we urge all rescuers to be extra careful)
The local rescuer said that the dog usually appeared after 4 o’clock in the evening. We did not see it at the scene at 4:30pm.
Instead, we saw several stray dogs looking for food and one of us decided to keep an eye out for the injured dog, and another one feed the dog pack first.
Soon a police car drove over with loud scolding on the car speaker. The policeman screamed at the volunteer who were about to feed (the two female volunteers were more than three meters away that time)
We explained that we’re a NGO group and we were there to rescue a dog with a very serious injury. The dog is very afraid of people and needs at least two people to round up.
We are performing the necessary tasks and are partners who work in the same place every day (we went there with seperate car also)
The policeman said angrily that, “Some government departments will do it, and you don’t have the need to do it.
Do you know that it is the third phase of MCO? Did you watch the news?! Did you??!! YES OR NO?!”
And we have no choice but to explain, “Yes sir we did, but there is no government department that will save injured stray dogs on the street.”
Police: “The city councils will do it, and some departments will do it!”
“The city council kills dogs … they will not rescue the dog.”
The policeman widened his eyes and pointed to the nose of the volunteer who said this, and warned her, “You better don’t say in this way, the city council can sue you!”
The police asked us to show the NGO certificate or any prove that we had, but when we took it from the car and handed it to him, he suddenly said that he didn’t want to read it, no matter what documents are useless now.
“Even it is illegal for NGOs to send food to poor people at this stage, government will take care of all these things!”
In the meantime, he repeated three times, to call his superior, as long as the superior agreed, he will immediately arrest us.
But the police said that it’s fine to feed the strays (we double confirmed with him for three times), but feeder need to left immediately after feeding, but at the beginning he was scolding the volunteer who was preparing to feed the dog …
Throughout the process, the police was pointing finger to our face rudely and scolded angrily. (even if the volunteers politely asked him to talk nicely)
Finally, we said that we would leave immediately and the police agreed to let us go.
11/4, happened in JLN EKO BOTANI 3/2, TMN EKO BOTANI, JB.

We didn’t want to give up that easily. The next day, we prepared some documents hoping to get the permission from the police to approve the rescue action of the dog.
On the way to the police station, we received a message from the local rescuer that the dog was just successfully caught, god knows how relieved we were!
_
We hope every rescuer will act extra carefully, especially if two or more people gather to trap the strays, the consequences are probably unbearable.
We are not sure whether it works to apply to the police to approve the rescue action, but if there is a very urgent situation, if there is a need for JB rescuers, we can help to prepare the letter for you.
(Friends from other states might seek help from your local NGO)
Self-isolation and restrictions on movement have hit animal welfare really hard. 😭
The above is as a vigilance, but we still hope that you and I will not giving up to give a helping hand to the poor strays 🙏🐶🐱
