In Light Of International Nurses Day, Which Falls ..

In light of International Nurses Day, which falls on May 12, Soi Dog would like to take this opportunity to honour the tireless efforts and dedication of the nurses working on the frontlines, risking their lives every day to help Covid-19 infected patients during this global pandemic. Nurses deserve support and recognition every day, but especially so in the face of this crisis.

Soi Dog’s very own ‘orange scrubs heroes’ are equally deserving of acknowledgement and gratitude. Here at the Soi Dog Foundation sanctuary in Phuket, we are lucky enough to have veterinary nurses working together as vital part of the veterinarian team providing exceptional medical care to our 1,100+ resident animals. In addition, we have vet nurses operating on mobile clinics assisting with sterilisation and vaccination in order to help reduce the stray population in Bangkok, including in other areas of Thailand.

In the eyes of those who feel the benefit of Soi Dog’s vet nurses the most – the dogs and cats – thank you for going above and beyond to provide the best care, attention, and love towards the animals in desperate need of help.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals.
