We Are Excited To Share The Story Of Molly Now Kno..

We are excited to share the story of Molly now known as Beckett who found her forever home in the USA, thanks to our Partner Rescue The Barking-Lot in San Diego, California.

Molly, was just one of the thousands of dogs who were rounded up in the northeastern part of Thailand in Nakhom Phanom area as a reactive response to an exaggerated Rabies scare.

With over 3,000 dogs in this makeshift government facility that housed both healthy and sick dogs, the appalling facilities were unable to cope with such an influx of terrified, traumatised dogs some of who were pets. In addition, there was a severe lack of food and no vaccines against rabies or other killer diseases. Limited staff struggled to cope with such an overwhelming intake and with unvaccinated dogs in the mix, diseases spread like wildfire and, thousands succumbed to viral epidemics like distemper and parvo. Sadly over 2,500 of these dogs died, before Soi Dog Foundation was alerted and thanks to your emergency donations, we were able to rescue dogs like Molly from the jaws of death.

Every year many of our rescued dogs and cats manage to find their forever homes thanks to our Partner Rescues in the USA and Canada. Over the years, they have helped us to find homes for dog meat rescues, street dogs and cats as well as those rescued from emergency situations such as the Nakhon Panom disaster of 2018.

To find out more about the Partner Rescue Programme, drop us an email to partnerrescue@soidog.org

Beckett would not have been able to have her #furrytailending if it weren’t for the animal lovers who responded to our urgent appeal. She was provided with medical care and allowed our partner rescue, thebarkinglotco to immediately pick her to travel to the USA. Now she’s living her dream with a lovely family. Thank you for giving dogs like Beckett a life they well deserve.
