We always knew Tarnsuay was a toughie. This sweet girl came to us back in January with a host of medical issues, but with her cheerful attitude and a spirit much younger than her eight years, it was clear she wasn’t going to give up easily.
Tarnsuay’s left legs were badly injured in a road traffic accident. Sadly, that wasn’t all she had to worry about. She was also infested with ticks, tested positive for heartworm and had a live maggot wound on her back, as well as a dislocated hip. She truly needed urgent care and attention. Now, a few months later, our vets continue to provide her with the specialist care she requires. Sadly, every day we receive dogs like Tarnsuay in dire need. You can help us be there for them by donating to our emergency appeal today: https://links.soidog.org/Care-for-dogs-like-Tarnsuay
We’re pleased to say that Tarnsuay is now clear of ticks and heartworm, and her wound has completely healed. It’s likely that she’ll always walk with a wobble on her left side, but regular hydrotherapy means she can do so comfortably and free from pain. Her head tilt, caused by a neurological issue, will also be a permanent feature, but this doesn’t cause her any discomfort either.
Tarnsuay now lives in one of our senior and special needs runs in a quiet corner of the shelter. Our priority is to keep this golden oldie as happy and healthy as possible while providing her with a safe place to lay her head for as long as she needs. She certainly deserves it after so many years on the streets.
We will never stop fighting for homeless animals. But in the face of a global pandemic, our shelter is operating beyond capacity, and we really do need your help to continue providing daily care to vulnerable animals like Tarnsuay. Please, if you can, donate today: https://links.soidog.org/Care-for-dogs-like-Tarnsuay
Please share to help desperate animals in urgent need in Thailand. Movida was caught in a barbaric trap and required urgent medical care. Without your help we cannot continue to care for animals like Movida in desperate need.
