Homeless Cats Like Benten Need You Now More Than Ever.

When you hear the name Benten, you might think of the Cartoon Network show of a 10-year-old boy and his series of adventures in space. When we hear Benten, we think of a two-year-old kitty whose own series of adventures on the streets of Thailand led him to the Soi Dog shelter.

Benten was brought to us by a kind man who found him limping around on the streets. The cause of his injury remains a mystery, but our vets knew straight away that it was beyond repair. As soon as he recovered from a bout of cat flu, his leg needed to be amputated. There is no government funding to help homeless cats like Benten. They have no one else but you to care for them. When we last updated you on Benten back in January, he’d not long been out of surgery. The fur on his chest and left side had been shaved and he was patched up with surgical plasters. Life on three legs was new to him, so he needed the support of a carer to help him balance. But thanks to animal lovers like you, just a few months later, this beautiful tabby boy is furry, fully recovered and somehow even faster on three legs than most cats are on four.

Just recently, he joined a suite in our cattery with a number of other healthy, adoptable cats. And he’s certainly in good company there. Fellow felines Blackstar, Jaonui and Ruja are all tripawds too, and together they’re proving once and for all that cats are surely the most agile and adaptive creatures around.

The global pandemic is hitting Soi Dog hard, and the road ahead feels more uncertain than ever. Please join our Care for Cats Club today so we can be there for helpless cats like Benten, no matter what. https://links.soidog.org/Save-cats-like-Benten-today

Sick and injured homeless cats in Thailand have nobody to help them. A small monthly gift from you will provide emergency medical treatment and a second chance at life.
