Distressing Images. Sitthichais Story Serves To Re..

*Distressing Images*

Sitthichai’s story serves to remind us that no dog is immune to the cruelty of life on the streets of Thailand, no matter how long they’ve lived there.

Sitthichai was homeless for seven long years. The fact he is still here today tells us that he is a survivor. But somewhere along the way, his life clearly took a dramatic and sudden turn for the worse.

A Soi Dog animal rescue officer found him at a fish market with a missing paw and a horrific open fracture to what remained of his leg. Infection had set in, and he was barely able to walk. We cannot turn our back on vulnerable animals like Sitthichai. But with our shelter close to overcrowding due to the knock-on effects of Covid-19, we truly do need your support. Please, help us at this difficult time by donating to our emergency appeal: https://links.soidog.org/Help-more-dogs-like-Sitthichai

How Sitthichai found himself with such a shocking injury is a secret only he knows. Perhaps he became caught in a snare meant for another animal. Maybe he was involved in a hit and run. Or possibly he was the victim of a deliberate act of cruelty. We’ll never know. What we do know is that he was rescued and given a second chance thanks to supporters like you. Given the severity of Sitthichai’s injuries, our vets had no option but to amputate his leg. We will update you on his condition soon.

Please help us continue this life-saving work by donating to our emergency appeal today: https://links.soidog.org/Help-more-dogs-like-Sitthichai

Your support will help us increase our food supplies and build enclosures and kennels to accommodate more animals who desperately need help during this time. On behalf of Sitthichai, and the many vulnerable animals who will come through our shelter doors in the challenging months to come, thank you.
