Even with COVID-19 bringing the world to a halt, Soi Dog Foundation’s efforts to provide care for the vulnerable and the voiceless continues.

This includes beyond those in our sanctuary.

Every year, thanks to your donations, Soi Dog Foundation, carries out a mass vaccination drive for the dogs at the local government run pound in Phuket.

With about 800 dogs at the pound who all have various personalities and behaviours,this is quite the task that requires various athletic skills and strategies! Watch the video to see more.

At a time,when we are searching high and low for a vaccine against the COVID-19 virus, it is important to remind ourselves of the importance of vaccinating our pets from lethal diseases that are very easily preventable.

The dogs at the pound, received immunity against six viruses includung rabies, canine distemper and parvovirus.

Vaccinations not only stem the spread of disease and therefore suffering but, in the cases of these dogs, they will become fit and healthy, increasing their chances of being adopted.

The pound runs on limited facilities and resources but thanks to your donations, over the years Soi Dog Foundation has been able to work with the authorities and volunteers, to make the lives of the dogs in the pound better by providing them regular veterinary care that includes sterilisation and vaccinations of all its residents.
