Nice To Meet You. My Names Chituri, And There Are ..

Nice to meet you. My name’s Chituri, and there are so many things that make me unique. There’s the cute white patch on my back, the wrinkles on my cheeks when I smile, my infectious lust for life… and that’s just naming a few!

Like far too many dogs in Thailand, I was the victim of a road traffic accident that left me with multiple fractures to my hips and legs. A local man found me at the side of the road, unable to walk, and rushed me to the nearest animal hospital. This kind soul paid for my initial treatment out of his own pocket, but I needed expensive surgery that he couldn’t afford and so he brought me to Soi Dog.

The vets here fitted my leg with screws and a plate – which I like to call my internal armour! – and I underwent a course of physiotherapy. Although I’m much better now, I still have to be careful not to overdo it when I’m out walking. I try to remember this, but sometimes my excitement takes over. After all, what’s an energetic girl like me to do when she sees a particularly fuzzy tennis ball in the distance?

Although I have a lot to offer, I’m likely to be overlooked for adoption because of my dark-coloured coat. Will you see past my fur and give me a chance? I promise to repay you each and every day with licks, love and laughter!
