Thanks to the advancement of aerial mapping technology using drone, land use monitoring has become a lot easier nowadays!

Drone survey not only reduces field time and survey costs in the long run, it also provides us with accurate and real time data. In large landscapes with varying land uses like the Setiu Wetlands and its catchment area, drone survey enables data from unreachable areas to be obtained.The land use data is extremely important to support informed decision making for more effective planning, management and conservation.

Here are some fantastic views of Setiu Wetlands captured from the drone survey during the SWSE 2020 conducted by the Land Use Monitoring team from WWF-Malaysia.
