The Terengganu Science and Creativity Centre (PSKT) explored the potential of edu-tourism in Setiu Wetlands during the Setiu Wetlands Scientific Expedition (SWSE) 2020.

Methodology comprising surveys and interviews were applied to scrutinize and analyze the uniqueness and importance of Setiu Wetlands’ biodiversity. The information gathered will serve as baseline for developing an edu-tourism module that integrates and connects education with tourism.

This module will benefit the local communities in helping to empower them with scientific knowledge and competency to convey information to visitors and tourists about the importance of the wetlands including its cultural and heritage values.
