Remember This Sweet Little Droiderr, Dog? Bb-Eight..

Remember this sweet little droid…err, dog? BB-Eight is doing so much better! It’s only been a few weeks since our animal control officers rescued her from a life of cruelty.

Found with two deep wounds around her neck – most likely from rope and/or chain that had been there for who knows how long – this lovely 5-year-old couldn’t have been saved without support from kind animal lovers like you.

Please, will you click here: https://emergency.soidog.org/ert >>>> to help mistreated animals like BB-Eight by joining the Emergency Response Team now with a small monthly pledge?

BB-Eight had been brought to one of our mobile clinics to be sterilised. We saw the wound and knew she couldn’t return to the place she’d been so callously treated.

She is safe with us now, and has also recovered from severe dehydration (7%). She is getting over anaemia, and has kidney abnormalities we are keeping an eye on.

BB-Eight is one of many new faces at the shelter, where we already care for around 1,100 animals at any given time. This is quite expensive, as you can probably imagine.

Sadly, our vets report seeing more cruelty cases – both intentional and from neglect – than ever before. We obviously want to help as many of these desperate animals as we can, but we are very stretched for funds. Last year we fell US $2 million short of projections.

To keep rescuing, rehabilitating and finding homes for homeless animals, we need all the help we can find. For their sakes, will you please donate now? Click here: https://emergency.soidog.org/ert

Thank you for caring for homeless, hurting dogs who have no one else.
