We urgently need a plot of land, about the size of 3-5 acres to be the new home for our shelter dogs and cats!

The current land used as the base for HOPE shelter is by leasing, it is a land lesser than 1 acre size and accommodate more than 600 cats and dogs. Can you imagine how cram and crowded it is?

We were evicted by the landlord last year and were supposed to move out on May 2011. We also applied to the government requesting for a piece of land as the forever home for our furry kids to have a better living space. However, we received notice on March 2011 that our application to the government was rejected…

Fortunately the landlord decided to extend the tenancy contract with another year to May 2012 as an assemblyman step-in to help in our negotiation with the landlord. Nonetheless, it is already the year end of 2011 and it is only a few months time to May 2012. Very soon, we will have to move out but we did not manage to find a suitable land at this point of time… We have being actively searching for the ideal land and also not giving up hope on the government but continue follow up with the application. We even met with the Johor Menteri Besar during the Meet-with-Menteri Besar official session for charity boards to voice up our request. However, we do not get any reply nor update regarding our request after the session…

We felt so tired for the endless things to do on this matter and so stressful of the time constraint. Will you be able to help us? All we need is a land that is suitable as an animal shelter:

- We prefer land area located within Johor Bahru Skudai, Gelang Patah, Pontian or areas which are near to the stated location

- A land with 3-5 acres size for the animals to run freely
- A land that is away from the city center and residential area as dogs bark
- A land in the plains or upland areas, as lowland will have flooding problem in the monsoon & rainy seasons
- Availability of water and electrical supply

目前我们迫切需要一片3-5 acre的土地来作为狗狗猫咪们的新家!!

希望护生园目前的收容所土地是靠租借的，一片少过1acre的土地就容纳了超过600只的猫狗，你可以想象的到里面有多拥挤吗?

去年起我们就已经遭受了地主的逼迁，本来预计是今年2011年5月份就必须搬迁，我们原本已向政府申请一片地好让希望护生园的毛孩子们有个永远的栖身之所，我们满怀希望、憧憬着那一天可以看见它们可以有个更合适和更宽广的草场让它们自由奔跑，无奈在今年3月份时我们接到了消息，政府并不批准我们的申请。

幸亏兜兜转转在今年4月我们获得了一个议员的帮助，帮助我们和地主洽谈，最后地主答应我们租期再延长一年，直到明年(2012年)的5月份。眼看2012年的5月份很快就要来了，毛孩子们很快就必须要搬家了，但是我们还没找到一片适合的土地....在这段期间我们马不停蹄的寻找一片地，也继续向政府申请另一片地，甚至在前一阵子柔佛洲务大臣会见所有慈善团体时，我们亲自在洲务大臣面前提出这项要求，恳请政府能拨出一小片地好让我们安置流浪动物们，但是在过后的跟进工作中没有得到任何正面的回应，也没希望了..

经历了长时间的奔波与时间的压力，我们好累、好累。您帮得到我们吗? 我们需要一片适合的土地来搭建新的收容所..

- 我们希望找的新地是介于新山士古来，Gelang Patah，笨珍或任何靠近这些区域的地方
- 一片3-5 acre的土地好让超过600只的猫狗们能住的舒服
- 一片远离城镇及市区的土地，因为狗狗们的叫声太大声了
- 一片处于平地或高地的土地，处于较低位置的土地容易在雨季时发生水灾
- 有水源及电源供应
