Grace Chow is a student from UTAR and she wrote to me recently about starting a society for animal welfare at her university. Last week, she requested for help in financing the medical treatment for two rescued puppies, Hambao and Dehbao.

Im Grace Chow from UTAR Kampar, Passion for Animal Society. We had read your policies of AnimalCare, we know that your organization are able to provide some financial support with condition, so we are here request for your help.
We got two cases here.
First case:
One of our group member rescue two stray puppies from the roadside, we had sent the pups to ipoh vet clinic after we found that one of the pup named Dehbao keep vomiting and having diarrhea. Dr Matin said Dehbao is infected by jaundice and she passed away after few day staying at the clinic there. we had spent rm150 on her (photo of receipt provided). Before Dehbao pass away, another pup named Hambao started to diarrhea and reject to eat. She was sent to the same clinic the nex day. Dr Matin said the pup have virus infection so she reject to eat. Hambao getting skinner and skinner, the owner decide to change another vet for the Hambao due to some reason. Thus, we spent rm250 (rm200 stay over for 9 days + rm50 1st vaccinate) on Hambao in that particular clinic (photo provided). Last Wednesday, we transfer her to another clinic named “Jean Veterinary”, she now staying that and we had pay a rm50 deposit first. Dr Kiew said that the result of Hambao’s blood test showed that her white blood cells is 60% which normal dog would be only 17% and she is infected by jaundice also. She cant estimate the total medical cost of Hambao, but she promised to give us the lowest price as she can. The total cost that we already spent is RM450.
second case (for standby):
A male dog was rescued by the co-founder of our society today evening. He had serious wound injure on his neck (photo provided). We suspect the wound was cause by fight with the other dog. We will send him to ipoh vet as soon as possible. we will update you once we get the newest information.

Based on the receipts received, one of them is for vaccination which we will subsidise only RM20. So, in total, we have sent a subsidy of RM220 for the medical treatment of the two puppies.
May Dehbao be in a better place now. And may Hambao recover soon.
