In view of the fact that there are currently three organisations providing medical subsidies for street animals, namely, PetFinder.my, SCRATCH and AnimalCare, we have jointly discussed and come up with the following policy:
Kindly inform us if you apply for financial assistance from other organisations. In such cases, we reserve the right to subsidise less than 50% or less than RM500. We are currently working together with PetFinder.my and SCRATCH and have jointly agreed that for receipts of RM400 and below, only one organisation will provide the 50% subsidy. For receipts above RM400, the rescuer may apply to 2 0r 3 organisations, but we shall jointly decide on the total subsidy offered.
If the rescuer applies to only AnimalCare, our maximum subsidy remains at 50% or RM500 per case, whichever is lower.
We do not cover unnecessary (extended) boarding, after the vet has declared the animal fit for discharge, any procedure deemed hazardous to the animal or is deemed unnecessary, food, accessories, euthanasia or the spaying of pregnant animals.
We also do not cover boarding if the animal’s illness or injury does not require it.
For our full policies, please refer to: http://myanimalcare.org/policies/
We urged all rescuers to please read the above and abide by our policies to avoid misunderstandings should you decide to apply to us for help.
For cases not covered under our policies, please write to me for details.
We retain sole discretion to disburse our funds according to our policy and on a case-by-case basis.
