Hello There, My Name Is Breton, And Someone Said I..

Hello there, my name is Breton, and someone said if they could describe me in one word, it would be loyal.

But then they quickly decided that one word wouldn’t do me justice, and so they added words like goofy, playful, smart and downright handsome too.

I am all of that and even more, but first let me tell you my story.

I was found on the streets with a wound on my face and an injured back leg. The pain was unbearable. Upon my arrival to Soi Dog, the vets worked tirelessly to save my life, but unfortunately this meant amputating my leg. This was nearly 1,000 days ago! I hope someone will choose me soon.

Despite what people may think about dogs with only three legs, I can still run fast! (Although I do need to take it a bit easy to make sure I do not injure my other back leg). But don’t worry, I am not a super energetic dog who needs tons of attention. I like to take leisurely walks, sniff the grass and flowers and of course rest my head in a comfy bed. The only thing I do ask for is to be your one and only. That way I don’t have to share human attention or, most importantly, toys!

You see, I lived on the streets all my life and never had the luxury of playing with toys, so unlike most other dogs, I can’t get enough of squeaky and chewy playthings. When volunteers take me out for the day, this is what I look forward to the most: chasing balls, taking them to a corner and playing with them to my heart’s content. I refuse to grow up!

Having lived as a street dog also means I am used to going where I want to go and being my own boss, but with some time and patience from a dedicated human, I will master other qualities.

So what do you say? Will you be my walking partner, my exercise buddy and also my guide to a better me? In return I promise to be your loyal friend for life and fill your days with plenty of joy and good times. You’ll soon wonder how you survived without me.
