Honey, Formerly Known As Courtyard, Was Found Aban..

Honey, formerly known as Courtyard, was found abandoned by her previous owner on the streets of Phuket, Thailand. Left alone to fend for herself, she was traumatised by the experience. Luckily, she was rescued by a very kind lady and brought to Soi Dog Foundation. A year later, she was adopted to our partner rescue Donna’s Canine Kitchen Inc. in Ontario, Canada.

In early 2019, Honey was finally adopted by a lovely couple, Linda and Don Harrison. We received a heartwarming update from them recently.

“Honey (formerly Courtyard) is doing great in Canada. Her personality is finally out for all to see.

When we got Honey she was so scared. Scared of people, scared that we would leave, scared of other dogs. Through a lot of patience and training, I am glad to say, she is just perfect now. She has dog friends whom she plays with, she is trusting of our friends that come to visit and I think she knows that this is her home forever.

I took Honey to obedience classes with other pet owners. Although she would do the commands at home, she would not do them in front of the other dogs or owners. However, it did get her to trust other dogs in Canada which was a big plus. Before, I would take her for walks off leash in the forest. If there was another person or dog there, she would run in the opposite direction. Now, we can pass other dogs and people on our walk.

Honey has a fenced in acre to play on during the day and we go for walks almost every day. She loves to zoom past me doing a 100 mph.

She is so gentle, so kind, so loving, I really couldn’t ask for a better dog.

Again, thank you for what you do. I couldn’t image not having Honey in our lives.”

Thank you to all of the amazing people, who were involved in making Honey’s dream of a #fureverhome come true!
