January 22nd Is United Nation's International Day ..

January 22nd is United Nation’s International Day of Education.

This year’s theme is ‘Learning for people, planet, prosperity and peace’ which highlights the role of education for humanity as well as its centrality to the world’s collective development ambitions.

Soi Dog Foundation, also believes that education is key to creating a future generation that will be respectful towards animals, who also have the right to live on this planet as we do.

This is why we have a dedicated education team who works full time with local Thai schools to create awareness about animal welfare.

Last year, our Education team reached nearly 8000 students from schools in an around Phuket delivering the message of compassion, the 5 basic freedoms of animal welfare as well as what it means to be a responsible pet owner.

In addition, Soi Dog Netherlands launched their own school project last year, which will work with schools and higher education institutes in the Netherlands to spread awareness about Soi Dog Foundation.

We are grateful to YOU for helping us create an everlasting difference in Thailand by speaking to the next generation who is truly our beacon of light for a better planet for all beings on Earth.

Soi Dog Foundation

Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The Gill Dalley sanctuary in Phuket is home to over 1,600 animals. Soi Dog also has a treatment facility in Bangkok and responds to crisis situations throughout Thailand.
