Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Orbit. Don’t let my androgynous looks fool you – I am as elegant as Grace Kelly. But I haven’t always been such a supermodel dog; these honey-cinnamon coloured eyes were once sunken and sad.

Can you believe that I was found with a bullet in my neck? It was a heinous crime – one that I nor any other creature on Earth should experience. For days, people walked past me on the side of the road thinking I was merely a tired and hungry street dog. Almost left for dead, a kind human finally cared enough to report my condition to Soi Dog Foundation. It was only after I was medically examined by the Soi Dog vets that an air gun bullet was found on the right side of my neck. Luckily, I healed quickly, and within weeks I regained my appetite for food (and life) again.

Now when people see me walk by, with my long, sturdy legs, magnetising gaze and all-angles jawline, they can’t help but be attracted into my orbit. I may be sweet and friendly, but remember, I’m a lady. While toys and constant play may interest others, I gravitate towards a pleasant walk (2-3 laps around the park will do), sophisticated companionship and gentle rubs that soothe my soul.

I’m a sensitive and cautious girl – and rightfully so considering what I’ve been through – but I have a feeling that I could be truly yours once you show me some kindness whilst offering me a sense of security and support that I so desperately long for. If you choose me (paws crossed that you do), I’ll choose you forever.
