Beautiful Torron has endured circumstances no animal should ever have to. This 4-year-old was abandoned by her owner on a chain, locked in a house behind a wall for more than a month.

Kind neighbors tried to help, but couldn’t do much. One called us. With police help, we broke a heavy lock to free Torron, whom neighbors said hadn’t gotten adequate food and water for at least two weeks.

Torron is safe with us now. Fortunately, other than hunger and thirst, she only had minor issues. Our vets found some ticks and a ringworm lesion, which have been taken care of. Torron has also been spayed.

If no one had noticed or cared about her, this poor dog could have died locked in her own house.
