Remember Benten? This gorgeous boy was homeless and had gotten himself hurt. A kind man noticed him limping and took him to a clinic. But the poor cat needed surgery he couldn’t afford, so he brought him to us.

We want to help as many animals like Benten as possible. But at 1,100 animals, we’re close to our shelter capacity. Rescuing and caring for so many is expensive, as you might imagine. Will you please help by pledging a small monthly gift? Click here: https://emergency.soidog.org/careforcats

Thailand is home to thousands upon thousands of homeless animals. Good-hearted people feed and look out for many of them. But when something serious happens, most can’t afford the needed care.

It’s generally known in Phuket that Soi Dog will help. Benten is safe with us now. Sadly, we could not save his injured leg, which has been amputated.

That’s the bad news. Benten still has three good legs and will almost certainly adapt to the loss. He also tested negative for the Feline immunodeficiency and Feline leukemia viruses. This is great for both his health and the chances of us finding him a forever home. And he’s over his cat flu now.

We are so grateful for our wonderful supporters. Without them, cats like Benten would live lives full of misery, or possibly not even survive.

The Thai government has no funding to offer to Soi Dog. Our animals rely totally on the kindness of people like you for the care they need and deserve.

Will you please join the Care For Cats Club with a monthly pledge of any amount? Even the smallest gifts do more good than you might imagine. Thank you! Click here to donate: https://emergency.soidog.org/careforcats
