No one really knows where Dino came from or what happened to him, but he was found frantically running along a busy road. It is most likely that he was dumped on the streets and left to fend for himself. All he wanted was a family of his own. Sadly, this is a normal occurrence for many streets dogs in Thailand.

This past September, The Elworthy family made his dreams come true. Dino is now living in Canada being showered in love, toys and treats. We could not be happier for the big, goofy boy. Thank you to the Elworthys for giving Dino a chance to experience the true love of a family.

“How do I describe Dino or how large of an impact he has had on our family? Here it goes. I, like almost everyone out there, see so many wonderful rescue groups on social media. Some in our own backyard and some from far away. I don’t know why I clicked on Soi Dog’s website other than feeling an immediate connection to Soi Dog Foundation and a strong feeling that this is what I had to do right now.

Dino came to us in September and we were very much in love with him before he even stepped out of his crate. What we didn’t take into consideration was how Dino felt stepping out of his crate into a foreign world with no guarantee in his mind that this was going to be his forever life. He took some time to trust his fur-brother, Oakley, and to believe that we would always have his back and be his people.

Today, Dino is a dog who has endless love for everyone and is loving life. Every day this curious and clever boy discovers something new. Our reward is watching him explore and experience all of his firsts here in Canada. Dino shows us his gratitude daily, his optimism and a dog’s ability to be resilient and give unconditional love.”
