Photos From Soi Dog Foundation's Post

Do you remember this handsome older gentleman? Seven-year-old Naeramit was likely hit by a car. A kind man brought him to us after finding him with severe, painful mouth and eye wounds.

Traffic accidents are one of the many dangers facing vulnerable homeless animals in Thailand. Will you please show cats like Naeramit you care by joining the Care for Cats Club now? You can choose a monthly donation of any amount. Click here: https://emergency.soidog.org/careforcats

He’s much better now, thanks to our supporters – although he didn’t seem too thrilled to be photographed! He’s still warming up to humans. We won’t ever give up on convincing him we care.

Aside from his painful wounds, Naeramit was also suffering from 6 percent dehydration, which can lead to organ failure and death. Our vets have conquered that issue, but sadly couldn’t save his ruptured eyeball, which had to be removed.

The good news is he still has one good eye, and can adapt like very many animals in his situation are able to do.

Our vet staff has had a difficult time treating this older boy because he’s aggressive. He’s probably been homeless most of his life, and most humans have not been kind. But we won’t ever give up on any animal for whom there’s hope.

At Soi Dog, this kitty has been getting the ongoing medical care, food and safe shelter he’s been denied for so long, just because he was unlucky enough to not have loving owner.

Naeramit is only one furry face in a sea of 1,100 animals who call Soi Dog home. We have never turned one away, and we never want to have to. Please help homeless, hurting cats by joining the Care for Cats Club now. Thank you! Click here: https://emergency.soidog.org/careforcats
