Serving up some more cat-titude on a Caturday

Victims of animal cruelty is something we witness quite often here at Soi Dog Foundation and little Raynoll despite being such a cute and adorable kitty cat, did not escape it either.

Not only was he found starving on the streets but someone had tied a rope around his front right paw which caused swelling the size of a kaffir lime. He was extremely weak, so his movement was limited to a just a few steps and probably made life even more difficult to find food, escape getting attacked by animals or even being run over.

This tiny, vulnerable being was at the mercy of a kind passerby who helped to bring Raynoll to Soi Dog Foundation so that he could get all the immediate veterinary care he needed.

Raynoll’s leg healed at a steady and healthy pace. He was one of the lucky ones because, usually with such a severe wound, amputation would have been the unfortunate outcome.

Raynoll’s resilience has made him the happy, fun-loving and heartwarming cat he is today. With such an impeccable recovery, he’s already able to hop on people’s laps, climb on shoulders, balance on backs and leap off to the ground effortlessly – some of his favourite pastimes!

At the moment, Raynoll has a temporary home here at Soi Dog along with other cats, but the numbers keep increasing on a daily basis. We believe that Raynoll will thrive so much more if he had a home of his own, not to mention his adoption will make room for another suffering kitty out there. This boy has never lost his cat spunk and genuine friendliness with other cats (and humans), that’s probably why you can’t help but fall under his ‘Prince Catting’ spell.
