This poor kitty is 7-year-old Naeramit. We believe he was hit by a car. A kind man brought him to us after finding him with horrible-looking, painful mouth and eye wounds.

Traffic accidents are one of the many dangers facing vulnerable homeless animals in Thailand. It’s the giving season…will you please show them you care by donating now? https://www.soidog.org/content/give-the-gift-of-life

Aside from his painful wounds, Naeramit was also suffering from a dangerous level of dehydration (6 percent, which can lead to organ failure and death). Our vets are treating that, but sadly couldn’t save his ruptured eyeball, which has been removed.

The good news is he still has one good eye, and can adapt like very many animals in his situation are able to do.

Our vet staff have had a difficult time treating this older boy because he is aggressive. He’s probably been homeless most of his life, and for the most part, humans have not been kind to him.

At Soi Dog, he is getting the ongoing medical care, food and safe shelter he’s been denied for so long through no fault of his own – just because he was unlucky enough to not have loving owner.

He is getting plenty of love and kindness, too. In time, we hope Naeramit will learn that not all humans are horrible or to be feared and fought against.

Naeramit is only the newest face in a sea of 1,100 animals who call Soi Dog home. We have never turned one away, and we do not want to ever have to.

Please help homeless, hurting animals – in this season of giving and all year long. Thank you for caring. https://www.soidog.org/content/give-the-gift-of-life
