This little cutie is Batua. He was abandoned – just dumped like trash at a temple. A kind monk noticed he was extremely skinny and hadn’t been neutered yet, so he called us.

Our vets examined this 7-year-old and found he had some moderate to serious problems. Aside from serious dehydration (6%), he was crawling with ticks and fleas. Both his eyes have a third eyelid, known as cherry eye. Batua also has liver and blood issues. Please help now. https://emergency.soidog.org/ert

Batua is getting the care he needs at Soi Dog, thanks to animal lovers like you. We know that, like us, you believe no animal deserves to be cast out all alone into the streets. That animals like Batua deserve all the love and care humans can offer.

Sadly, this poor boy is only one of many thousands – perhaps millions – like him in Thailand. Homeless, with no one to care. No one but compassionate people like you.

Fortunately, the person who dumped him did so in the place he was most likely to get sympathy and help. Batua will be safe with us and get the care he needs and deserves, including eye and neuter surgeries.

But this little boy is just one new face in a sea of around 1,100 dogs and cats already being looked after at Soi Dog. We admit new urgent cases as quickly as we can find forever homes, and are always at or near capacity.

This means we need help from our supporters more than ever. We don’t ever want to have to turn away an animal who needs us. It’s a thought that constantly haunts us.

Please join our Emergency Response Team and pledge a small monthly gift so this won’t ever happen. https://emergency.soidog.org/ert

Your one-off gift will also help more than you might imagine.

Thank you for caring about abandoned dogs like Batua, who deserve so much better.
