They call me Speedy, Speedy G. Looking at my pictures, you can probably guess how I got my name. Once I get going, nothing can slow me down… well except for maybe a cuddle or some treats.

I am one of the many dogs who have been fortunate enough to be rescued from the exaggerated rabies scare. When Soi Dog Foundation heard that thousands of dogs had been rounded up by the Thai government, following an exaggerated rabies scare, and taken to a government shelter in Nakhon Phanom province, the organisation sent a team to investigate. What they found was an overcrowded facility in which healthy and sick dogs were initially housed together resulting in more than half the confiscated dogs dying. The space was also too small for the number of dogs and medical resources were limited. I guess I was one of the lucky ones.

I try not to dwell on my past, instead I am hoping for a bright future. Many people have told me how lovely I am, so I hope someone adopts me soon. I am an extremely friendly boy who loves nothing more than to have a good time. Whether we are running around the garden, exploring new places or watching TV at the end of the night I will make great company. While I get on well with the other dogs, I don’t mind being your first dog, your one and only or the newest addition to your family. Please consider giving me a second chance at happiness.
