Indy To The Vet’s (post Indy-Ginger Fight)

Indy went for his B12 jab today.  Luckily I mentioned about the wounds from the Indy-Ginger fight because without even parting his fur, the vet could see that the skin around that area is all red and inflamed.

Oh dear….and we could not see a single thing and thought all was well!

The fur was shaven and it reveals two bite wounds and several scratches. The skin is inflamed and upon closer examination, the puncture wounds have closed up but an abscess might develop later, so Clavomox is needed (7 days).

Aren’t we lucky we had your wounds checked, Indy?

The vet thought of continuing Indy with steroids for his loose stool problem, but we finally decided we will give the steroids a rest and see how things go. If with or without the steroids makes no difference, then it would be better to go without it.

For now, it’s just the B12 jab and we can continue with the tablets from next week to spare Indy from the car trips which he doesn’t quite like.
