Jonah is STILL waiting to find his furver home in Canada!

Jonah is a gorgeous, petite, laid back, yellow lab with a heart of gold! He traveled to Canada from Soi Dog earlier this year and has settled into his foster home. He is a friendly, affectionate little man who greets his foster family with a non-stop waggy tail and covers them with kisses.

To give you a little of Jonah’s background, when Soi Dog Foundation heard that thousands of dogs had been rounded up by the Thai government, following an exaggerated rabies scare, and taken to a government shelter in Nakhon Phanom province, the organisation sent a team to investigate. What they found was an overcrowded facility in which healthy and sick dogs were initially housed together resulting in more than half the confiscated dogs dying. The space was also too small for the number of dogs and medical resources were limited. Some of the dogs had been pets but no records were kept so none of them could be returned to their home territories.

Soi Dog’s International Partner Rescue Program promoted some of the dogs for adoption and Jonah was one of the dogs selected. He made the journey from Nakhon Phanom to Soi Dog’s shelter on Phuket Island where he had health and behaviour assessments done to prepare him for the final leg of his journey to Canada.

Jonah would love to find his forever family soon so if you are looking for a new furry family member who will give you a lifetime of love and loyalty look no further! Jonah can’t wait to meet YOU!

If you are interested in adopting Jonah please email PartnerRescue@soidog.org for more information.
