Naonao is lucky to be alive. Her vets are almost certain a very sadistic person stabbed this poor girl. Someone much kinder found her and brought her to a local clinic. They could not provide the care she needed, so we went and got her.

We do not want to turn even one desperate animal away, but we are at our limit. Please help. https://bit.ly/save_victims_of_cruelty

Unlike most vet clinics, the Soi Dog hospital can handle trauma, so we get serious cases regularly. But by caring for around 1,100 animals at our hospital and shelter already, we are operating at full capacity almost all the time.

Please join our Emergency Response Team now and pledge a monthly amount you can afford, or make a one-off gift, to save animals like Naonao. It takes every gift, small and large, to keep our hospital and shelter open.

This is one of the most horrendous cases we’ve seen in a long time. This poor girl could easily have bled out on the streets of Phuket. We know it’s hard for some to look at the image of her trauma – but think how much harder it was for her to endure it.

Naonao’s intestines were out of her stomach when she was found. It is a miracle she survived the trips to the clinic, then on to us, without further damage.

Our highly skilled vet surgeons were able to properly relocate pooor Naonao’s entrails and sew her back up. Her wound is healing well and she’s on the road to recovery.

She’s being monitored constantly to keep her wound sterile, and is receiving antibiotics and antifungal medication to ensure she won’t fall victim to peritonitis, an often-fatal infection of the abdominal wall usually caused by bacteria or fungi.

In this area of Thailand, only Soi Dog could have saved Naonao. But we can only be here at all because of our supporters.

This beautiful girl would have died in the street where she was stabbed if not for the kind people who make our rescues possible.

The photos say it all. Please help now. https://bit.ly/save_victims_of_cruelty
