The Raw Deal – Protein Transition (duck)

To compensate for “offending” Ginger, he had a 100% Cubgrub duck dinner tonight.

Ginger loves duck and asked for more.

Bunny is willing to eat duck as well, so that’s one more protein for Bunny besides chicken.

Indy had his 70-30 (Fillet Plus + Cubgrub chicken). The vet also agreed that it’s too early to transition Indy to a new protein. Let his stools settle first.

Previously Cleo ate Duck, but only once. Then, she rejected it. Today, she was willing to eat her chicken with a teaspoon of duck nearby.

My biggest surprise was Pole. Pole actually licked the duck and ate some too. Previously, she totally rejected it.

Cow, Tabs and Heidi will not touch duck.

But everyone is willing to eat Primal Turkey except Heidi (unwilling) and Indy (because we cannot give it to him yet).

Everyone’s staple food is Cubgrub Chicken.

Cat nutritionists recommend that cats eat 3 proteins on rotation, if possible.
