Floyd’s adopter, Lisa, shared why adopting a black Soi Dog was one of the best decisions she has ever made. Let one of our black dogs enrich your life: http://bit.ly/36T7a0D

“Four years ago Floyd entered our lives. I still remember Floyd’s little black face catching my eye on the website. His white muzzle looked wise but his expression was kind of silly. His profile said someone threatened to kill him and Soi Dog took him in.

Soi Dog told us Floyd was shy, but with time and patience would be very happy in our home. When Floyd arrived it was one of the most exciting days of my life. He was skeptical of us at first, but slowly figured out that we were his family. He and our little dog Tux became the best of friends. Our cats? While at first they each weren’t sure of one another, with slow integration they settled into each other’s company.

What is special about Floyd?

🐾 He is an excellent alarm clock, reminding me daily when it is 7:00am.

🐾 He keeps my feet warm when I watch T.V.

🐾 He is waiting at the door for me when I come home every day, itching to give me snuggles.

🐾 He will hike with me as far as I want to go. And he will still want to go further…

🐾 His fur matches my clothes! It’s like he doesn’t even shed.

🐾 He loves learning new tricks! My favourite is his cute little growl when I ask him to “speak”. He will only do it while wagging his tail to show he doesn’t really want any trouble!

🐾 He makes me laugh. Every. Single. Day.

When you adopt a black Soi Dog, you are giving a dog a chance who may have been otherwise overlooked. I am so glad I chose Floyd. Words can’t express what he means to me. He is my best friend and I feel so thankful that Soi Dog Foundation entrusted him to me.”
