The first-ever Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) in Malaysia has officially been launched by YB Tuan Ben Chong, Pembantu Menteri Perdagangan dan Industri Sabah.
Together with stakeholders consisting of government agencies, NGOs, fishing industries and the fishing communities, Reef Fishes FIP in Marudu Bay, Tun Mustapha Park was launched with the goal to produce marketable, responsible seafood products by improving fisheries stock and marine ecosystems with improved fisheries management.
