“The Memorandum of Understanding goes beyond our commitment to a long-term effort in conserving our country’s biodiversity because we aim to bring our partnership to a greater level where it opens the door of opportunities for both parties. The book we launched today, for instance, stands as an embodiment of a collaborative effort that is needed to build a sustainable environment. We hope the publication will inspire other schools, universities and campuses to take the lead in implementing green initiatives in their respective learning environment,” said Ms Sophia Lim, WWF-Malaysia’s Executive Director/CEO during the event held at Danau Golf Club, UKM Bangi.

Commenting on the need for a collaborative effort in tackling environmental issues, Ms Sophia added, “The establishment of the National Education for Sustainable Development Work Group echoes the Together Possible slogan that WWF has been chanting. It encourages us to engage and involve people from various backgrounds and industries to achieve a greater conservation impact”.
