I wonder if you recognise me? It’s Tobey! I’m a very old boy whose owner thought me too much of a burden and dumped me when I got wounded. But don’t worry! Because of Soi Dog Foundation’s kind supporters, I’m so much better now, I feel like a brand-new pup!
Will you please give a gift to Soi Dog now? They were my only hope when I was left to die on the streets. https://bit.ly/SaveSeniorDogs
What happened was, I had some wounds on my neck and chest that had maggots in them, which now have healed up nicely. See how much better I look?
It wasn’t my fault about my injuries, but I guess they’re why my owner didn’t want me anymore. And let’s face it…I’m not the cute young pup I once was.
The vets here reckon I’m anywhere from 10 to 12 years old now. If a dog’s year is seven human ones, that makes me as old as 85.
The streets are no place for any dog (or cat) of any age, but I was homeless, wandering outside alone for five whole days after I was dumped. I was hungry, scared, and in pain, and didn’t know how to help myself. And my heart was broken because my owner didn’t love me anymore.
I would never have been able to carry on if a very kind person hadn’t called Soi Dog Foundation about my situation. Based in Phuket, Thailand, since 2003, Soi Dog has cared for thousands of dogs and cats at their hospital, provided sanctuary for them at their shelter, and transformed many of their lives.
Soi Dog’s animal rescue officer came for me straight away and brought me to their hospital. I was feeling quite low, and my wounds really hurt. The vets were so kind to me, called me a good boy and other nice things, and petted me. It felt wonderful!
They gently cleaned, dressed and bandaged my wounds, and I am now safe at their shelter. I’m getting good food, a comfy place to sleep, and loads of love. The anaemia I arrived with is also much better.
Animal lovers like you make care like I received possible. Soi Dog gets no government help. Will you give to them now so more animals can get caring emergency treatment when they need it, like I did? https://bit.ly/SaveSeniorDogs
Dogs and people all get old. We’re not as cute anymore, and we have problems we didn’t have when we were young. It doesn’t mean we should be thrown out like trash.
I tried to be a very good boy for my owner. I thought he really loved me. But love is what you DO. Soi Dog Foundation did right by me when my owner didn’t. The laceration wound from the tight rope he kept around my neck will finally heal now that I’ve been rescued.
It’s only because of wonderful humans like you, who adore animals and believe none deserves to suffer, that Soi Dog Foundation can exist and keep going. If they couldn’t, countless desperate homeless animals would have no place to go for emergency care when sick, injured, abandoned or abused (like me).
For all the homeless, hurting dogs and cats still out there of any age, who could need emergency care at any time, will you please give now? Thank you. https://bit.ly/SaveSeniorDogs
