For now, the monsoon rains plaguing Ubon Ratchathani Province, Thailand, have stopped. Tragically, homeless animals now face searing heat and glaring sun completely unprotected.
We are having temporary shelters built and delivered, but need your help to provide these for more than 300 animals living in the open.
Although we have been able to deliver more than 11 tonnes of dog and cat food thanks to our wonderful supporters, we will probably need to purchase additional food to continue feeding homeless animals and those separated from their owners by this record flooding.
And so we must once again ask our amazing supporters for your help for the long-suffering animals of Ubon.

Heavy rains could resume any day, as it’s still officially rainy season in Thailand. We consider this flood emergency to be ongoing, as we have no way of knowing when it will finally end and people and pets can safely return home. The traditional Thai rainy season won’t be over for several weeks yet.
WIth all our hearts, we thank our supporters, who are currently helping us feed thousands of dogs and cats displaced from their owners or stranded by flood waters. The area has been deluged by monsoon rains for weeks now, causing the Mun River to overflow its banks.
This flood event, unseen in nearly 20 years, has displaced close to half a million people and thousands of animals. More than 30 people have died.
Many of the displaced animals are precious pets families heartbreakingly had to leave behind as they escaped to shelters with only their lives and the clothes on their backs, as well as strays already living on the streets.
The dog and cat food our caring supporters have helped us get to the desperate animals of Ubon, a province 600 kilometres from the capital, Bangkok, is feeding thousands of animals being held temporarily in temples and shelters until they can be reunited with their owners. It is also feeding many homeless animals, including several hundred stranded in an open area completely cut off by flooding and unprotected from the elements.
Our supporters have also enabled us to send a medical team to help any sick or wounded animals, and to vaccinate and spay and neuter dogs and cats as needed.
Thousands of traumatised animals need you now. Will you help us help them? This emergency situation continues to change daily, and could potentially worsen at any time.
Please help us make sure thousands of animals don’t go hungry and can be safe from the harsh elements. To donate now and help thousands of animals in Ubon Ratachani Province, Thailand, click here:

These are people’s beloved pets, and also strays our supporters have always come through for in the past, time after time. Will you please do so once more, now? https://www.soidog.org/content/ubon-ratchathani-floods-2019
Thank you.
