When people first look at me they see an intimidatingly large dog. However, it does not take long to see I am just a gentle giant with a goofy old soul. My name is Matham and I am finally ready to find that special someone.
I was brought into Soi Dog from the local government pound. No one knows where I came from or why I was chucked into the pound, but I did not cope well. I had no appetite and as each day passed I got skinnier and weaker. I started to lose the will to live. Thankfully, the staff at the pound noticed and called Soi Dog for help. The vets cared for me and helped me gain my strength back. They also discovered I was partially blind. Despite my rough past, I have managed to return to my goofy self.
Each day I go for a walk and happily plod along by my volunteer’s side sniffing all the smells. I never pull on the lead nor do I react to other dogs walking by. I politely mind my own business and carry on enjoying my time out. While I may have trouble seeing, my other senses are heightened. I can smell a good ole chicken treat from a mile away! I hope that one day my Mr. (or Mrs.) ‘right’ will come along and choose me to join their family. My laid back and independent personality will fit any calm lifestyle. I don’t need much, just a soft bed to sleep in and a person to love. Could you offer that to a sweet guy like me?
