Bornean Orangutans In Sustainably Managed Forests

WWF-Malaysia’s latest findings conclude that Bornean #orangutans have maintained their population numbers in the sustainably managed forests of Deramakot and Ulu Segama, Sabah, ensuring that the conservation of the orangutans is on track. However, we can still do more to protect the species. The orangutans’ survival in isolated forest patches will depend on the creation of wildlife corridors that will link fragmented forests together, allowing the species to breed as well as to travel for food and shelter.
