Chewbacca's Hernia Surgery Is Tomorrow

I met Christine this morning at the temple. She says Chewbacca is better now, and eating very well. She is also beginning to groom herself.

Chewbacca is a rescued kitten who has a pus-infected wound on her leg and diaphragmatic hernia. She is scheduled for surgery to correct the hernia tomorrow morning.

She definitely looks MUCH better than she did two days ago.

Grooming herself.

This is how much difference a caring human's touch and love make to a street animal.

The surgery tomorrow is extremely high-risk, but if surgery is not performed, Chewbacca will probably die of suffocation because her abdominal cavity is practically empty and all her organs have been pushed up into the lung cavity leaving hardly any space for proper breathing to take place.

Do please remember Chewbacca in your prayers and wish her well.

We are all praying hard for a successful surgery tomorrow.

Hang in there, Chewie. We're all with you.
