Armino was a homeless street pup when she was found with a horrendous wound on her back. With nobody to care for her, she was facing a death sentence.

Armino was found by a naval officer, late at night. He took the scared little puppy to his dormitory, where he cleaned her wound and kept her safe by his side all night. The following morning, he returned to the area where he’d found her to see if he could find Armino’s mother or any siblings, but there was no sign of any other dogs. The kind man then drove little Armino to our shelter.

The vets were shocked to see such a big wound on such a little puppy. It had obviously been there some time and was dangerously infected and infested with maggots. It is very distressing to think that somebody could deliberately inflict such an injury on a tiny defenseless puppy, but there really is no other explanation.

Armino has come a long way since that night. Thanks to people like you, our vets were able to treat her wound and start her on pain relief and antibiotics to fight infection. All that remains from her wound is a small scar on her back. She is one of the lucky ones.

No animal deserves to go through the pain and suffering Armino did, but she is ready to move on to bigger and better things. She dreams of finding a family who will love and protect her. Could you offer her a safe place to live? Her goofy personality and sweet nature will melt your heart. Please email adoptions@soidog.org to find out more!
