WWF-M'sia Urges Joint Effort With Indonesia To Sav..

 


The death of Tam, our last male Sumatran rhino in Sabah reminds us that a species can go extinct in our lifetime. However, Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) is a medical procedure that could be used to breed the remaining three rhinos by collaborating with their Indonesian counterparts to exchange gametes.

WWF-Malaysia calls on the government to enhance diplomatic efforts towards Indonesia, in order to help save this species by allowing ART to take place.



The recent death of Malaysia’s last surviving male Rhino, Tam, was a reminder that a species could go extinct in our lifetime.
