My friend sent these photos and a description of Sunshine Courage’s first acupuncture treatment on Monday:
Hi Kah Yein,
I just remembered that I hadn’t sent you the photos at Sunshine’s 1st acupuncture session at Dr Susanna’s clinic.
We did not take her out of the opened carrier as we wanted to minimise movement. The towel over her head has been useful in keeping her calm and she even fell asleep during the session with her head wrap on!!
I’d like to thank Joan Shamugam for her very quick and kind contribution of the stem cell which made it possible for us to start Sunshine on it immediately. For such an injury as Sunshine’s, what ever help the body can get, it needs it as immediately after trauma as possible.
Last night Jessica called me to offer any help that might be needed and she wanted to contribute directly in even though she knows Animal Care is taking good care of Sunshine’s expenses as she said that Animal Care would always have need of funds for other cases so she would be happy to help out. Currently I have little needs for Sunshine except time and effort and we’re doing alright.
Jessica also mentioned that she was moved to call me as she had read about Sunshine’s story and was told more by Dr Susanna and it brought tears to her as she remembered her own dog Riley who has since passed on. Riley and Jessica had struggled with several health complications and one of them was a real challenge to express his bladder so Jessica understands what Sunshine is going through.
We’d like to thank Joan for the stem cells and Jessica for her kind contribution towards Sunshine’s expenses. We’ve offered to reimburse my friend for Sunshine’s expenses (besides the medical ones) but she says it is enough for now.
