UPDATE: Rescued Shoelace Cats Safe in Foster

We are happy to share photos of the first two cats rescued from a Serbian home in which they were tied to a bed by shoelaces, 365-days a year. It’s a delicate rescue effort that requires patience as we negotiate with the homeowners who have a warped view of what they are doing to the cats. Although the first two cats are now safe, our efforts to rescue the others are still ongoing and involve attempts at persuasion and we are attempting to involve local Serbian authorities to help us take custody of the cats.

Today we share the photos to show you the foster center where the cats will recover. At the moment, they are very afraid. They have been through a lot and it will take time for them to feel safe.
